Logistics
- Registration
- A registration form is linked here. Inquiries may be
directed to the organizers.
We may have limited funding to support participants. The deadline for application for financial support is March 15. We expect to be able to start communicating decisions at the end of March. Preference will be given to participants who present posters. - Location
- University of Fribourg, Switzerland
- Directions
- Fribourg is easily reached by train -- see the
website of the Swiss Railways for
schedules.
The two nearest international airports are Zurich and Geneva. Both these airports have an underground train station that is right below the check-in areas, and from which every hour you can take a train that takes you directly to Fribourg. Running time from Geneva or Zurich to Fribourg is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.
Other airports you might consider are Basel-Mulhouse (mainly European flights) as well as, for intercontinental flights, Milano Malpensa, Frankfurt and Munich. From those you can reach Fribourg by train (schedules can be obtained from the website of the Swiss Railways, even if these are international connections). - Housing
- We have reserved a certain number of rooms for junior participants in the school. These rooms will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis, so early registration is encouraged. In general we recommend early booking, as availability of hotel rooms in Fribourg are limited. There are also affordable accommodation options in the town's surroundings that are reliably served by public transportation (especially busses). There are also interesting options on AirBnB and bnb.ch
- Organizers
- Christin Bibby (University of Michigan, USA)
- Filippo Callegaro (University of Pisa, Italy)
- Emanuele Delucchi (University of Fribourg, Switzerland)
- Masahiko Yoshinaga (Hokkaido University, Japan)
